    Summary

“Game is over,” he says. “You won. I lost. I was annoying. Normal.”

“That’s not—” Shane starts, then stops, because he actually doesn't know how to finish that thought without sounding like an idiot. His jaw works, teeth grinding together.

That's not what I meant. That's not the point. You said I was boring and you were right and I need you to say it again so I know where I stand, so I know what you think of me, so I can stop waiting for the other shoe to drop.

He settles for: “You were kind of an asshole.”

    Summary

Hayden stares, the sight in front of him not quite computing.

There is the couch. There is Shane on the couch. There is Shane on the couch, sleeping on his back with one arm wrapped securely around the waist of another person sleeping on top of him. The waist of another man sleeping on top of him.

    A man.

    As in, not Boston Lily.

As in, not a woman at all.
    -
Or, a prank goes awry and Hollanov is outed even earlier. At least everyone can agree that it’s still entirely Hayden Pike’s fault.

    “Yes.”

The line went silent for a moment. Ilya wasn’t really sure why his coach felt the need to run this by him.
