Summary
This is something that's been toiling in my mind for a little bit recently. It may be long or it may be short, but I'll say this now; this is 100% inspired by the Scylla song in Epic the Musical. Also, I finally have a direction for where this story is going to go. I'm going to try to be as accurate as I can with Ancient Greek customs and some of them aren't going to be fun to read, so if you're squeamish, you best not read. This will be sorta filling in the blank in the middle of the four month between The Last Olympian and the Lost Hero and touching the Heroes of Olympus war. So, that said, please enjoy my story

Shadows move even though no one is there. Noises echo from dark rooms. And Isagi feels like he is being watched. Even in his sleep.
What was intended as training for independence turns into a silent nightmare.

An ultra slow burn Drarry retelling beginning the summer before fifth-year and continuing through the final battle at Hogwarts.
Harry begins to distrust Dumbledore after the events of his fourth year, turning to an unlikely source for knowledge and information. The Occupation of Malfoy Manor by Voldemort leads Draco down a path that diverges significantly from the rest of his family. An event early on sets in motion a large rift in the Golden Trio, ultimately resulting in irreparable damage. Harry learns what real friendship is and who he can trust while making several self-discoveries along his journey to rid the Wizarding World of Voldemort for good.
There are several plot points from the original source material that remain unchanged and are therefore only referenced and implied. While I don't care for the author's personal views, I enjoy her writing and will not be re-writing anything that happens as they appeared in the books. This fic is long enough as it is! There will be author notes for any chapter that includes or alludes to these scenes.
Please make note of the canonical character death tag and remember what happens in Order of the Phoenix.
