Summary
It has been a terrible seven years on Yoshi’s Island. Three brave young yoshis pursue the evil Koopa’s battleship across the sea in hopes of rescuing their friends. They have no idea what they will find beyond the horizon, which no yoshi has ever crossed before. Inevitably, they end up in the very place where this whole mess started: the Mushroom Kingdom.

Summary
Imagine a Minecraft world where the player characters don't exist (or haven't shown up yet). This world is far from empty. Legends are unfolding all the time.
This graphic story follows the adventures of an Ender-enby pirate captain and their crew as they explore the Overworld, become famous (or infamous), collect treasure, discover the secrets of the storied lands they travel and live in, and generally try to leave things better (or at least more interesting) than they found them.

Summary
In a timeline where the Yoshi’s Island games never happened (because Bowser, as we know him, didn’t exist), the Yoshis and the Mushroom People find each other for the first time when Mario and Luigi are twelve years old. This first, fearful encounter, especially with one young yoshi in particular, will change the brothers’ lives—and, arguably, the whole world—forever.

Summary
This isn’t so much a story as just a compilation of my memories of discovering video games for the first time. This process began when I was eight and continued into my teens. I was young and awkward and pretty clueless, for the most part, about what I was getting into. I sometimes have a lot of fun remembering that time.

Summary
We all love to tell stories of a hero triumphing over evil. According to those stories, Mario has defeated Bowser and rescued the princess again and again, without fail. But anyone who has actually played the platformers those stories are based on knows that most runs don’t end in victory for the hero. It usually takes many tries, and many Mario lives, before one finally makes it to the end.
This is a story of the failed attempts: the countless Marios who fell in bottomless pits, whose heroic journeys were never finished. Really, this is the story of just a few of those fallen Marios, trapped in a forgotten dimension of darkness, faced with the end of their own stories, and wondering if any faint hope might remain for themselves, or for the worlds they left behind.
