Yuuji is six or seven when he sees a lady in the prettiest skirt. It’s pleated with a design of a bright blue sky and sakura trees.
“Jii-chan!” He pulls his grandfather’s arm and points at the lady. “Can I have a skirt like that?”
The man smacks his hand down, hissing, “Don’t point at people!” Then he gets a strange look on his face and asks, “Why would you want a skirt? You’re a boy.”
Huh, Yuuji thinks. He shrugs.

His ears ring, painful and distracting while the alpha's scent floods his nostrils. Alluringly spicy and so full of want that it ignites Yuji's blood with indescribable need. The same need he's been battling for years now, and it scares him to confront it head-on with the object of his affection staring through him. Smelling him. Knowing the truth.
"Did you know your rut would start today?" He whispers, lips slick. That my heat would start today? goes unsaid, heavy in the space between them.
Megumi's eyes meet his, unflinching. "I hoped it would."

Yuji turns to new habits to help him resist Sukuna’s influence. Perhaps he’s been twisted all along, but he’ll be damned if he lets a curse win, if he lets a curse decide what he does and does not do.
Perhaps some habits aren’t healthy, but Yuji has always been the lesser of two evils.

Megumi walked inside, setting his bag on the bed, and sitting down. This was his home for now. When Megumi looked back at the door, Nanami and Shoko had left. Good. Megumi didn’t want to talk anymore. Megumi was tired.
He laid down on the stiff mattress, squeezing his eyes tightly shut. Megumi wanted to rest his eyes, sleep, just for a little while.
“Hi, my name is Yuji Itadori! I’m so excited to have a roommate again!”
