Summary
Book one ends with two major diffrences: 1. Sokka went on the mission with Hahn (it did not go well) 2. Zhao survives the North Pole and that proves unfortunate for everybody (except Zhao, obviously)
Imprisoned on Zhao’s war ship, Sokka and Zuko have to work together to survive. They are not very enthusiastic about this prospect.
And they argue.

“I have a surprise for you all, if you’ve been good boys and girls.” Ariana gestured across the lawn, where pink X-shaped crosses now dotted the landscape. Handcuffs dangled from the top of each.
“Two, if we’re being technical. Islanders, please welcome our new bombshells! They will be giving you a very warm welcome. If you’re chosen, that is. Have fun…”Shane's wrists pulled against his restraints, heart thudding. A finger ran over his lips, shushing him. Then two hands appeared, tracing his body, warm and firm over his exposed skin. Shane panted, dizzy and delirious. Through the haze, he started smiling. He was straight. He was actually straight. Irrefutably hard as hell for some sexy new bombshell.
A hand traced Shane’s jaw, almost tender, and their hips pressed together again for just a moment. Shane’s mind stuttered, his own hardness meeting…something else.
Warm breath wafted into his ear. “I will give you some time to ah, calm down, yes?”
Shane jerked back, hitting his head against the cross with a loud curse.

Summary
After Hakari is kicked out of Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kirara follows, they promise to build a better life together - but that doesn't come without complications. As they start up their fight club, they must face their fears of falling in love.
“What are you doing, Kirara?”
“Coming with you, duh,” she scoffed. “Did you think you could just leave me like that?”
It’s not that he wanted to leave his friend behind. The only thing that crossed his mind when they told him he was expelled was that Kirara would be without him.
She was strong though, she would make it out. He would bet on her every time. And maybe it was for the best, she’d no longer be marked with the title of being his friend.
“Go back inside,” he demanded. There was no kindness in his words.
“Fuck that and fuck this place.” She shook her head, crossing her arms in front of her. The sunset lowered, her purple eyes soaking up the pinks and orange from the sky.
“Kirara, you are too fucking smart and have too much potential. Go back, don’t ruin your life.”
“I’m not doing this without you, Kin. Any of it.”
