“Well, I’ll be damned,” the guy drawls. The cigarette is barely clinging to his bottom lip, the filter wet with saliva. “It really is the two of you. Kakashi is going to have an aneurysm.”
The startled: “Kakashi is here?” leaves Obito’s lips before he manages to clamp his mouth shut. The guy’s eyes dart to him, and he smiles, an unreadable emotion behind his eyes.
or: Obito has been dead, stitched back alive and interrogated within an inch of his life, all before turning sixteen. Now, stranded over a decade into the future with Rin in a village that doesn't quite know what to do with either of them, he's finding that being KIA in this timeline doesn't make life any less complicated.

Hatake Kakashi was no more. Amidst the intense fight to seal Otsutsuki Kaguya in the Fourth Shinobi War, he was hit by her absolutely devastating power, the All-Killing Ash Bones. The bone which was infused with chakra from the Ten-Tails, penetrated his body and ultimately caused his death.
Somehow, the Sixth Path chakra within Kakashi intercepted his journey to the afterlife and had his soul spiraled into an alternate universe where everything was out of place. There, he was Uchiha Kakashi, the youngest son of Uchiha Fugaku.
Kakashi lived a pretty quiet life (despite having angry Sasuke as a brother) until a certain stranger showed up and disturbed his peace.

When Kakashi wakes up in a world that is not his own, he stares at the faces of people long dead and wonders, not for the first time, if the world truly would have been better off without him. After all, Minato-sensei is still alive, Obito has both his eyes and is renown as one of the most prolific Uchiha in modern history, and Rin has apprenticed with Tsunade and become one of the best medics in the world. Naruto has his parents, and Sasuke has his family.
There is one key factor in all of this.
Hatake Kakashi does not exist.
Perhaps it should stay that way.

As you should.” She lifts her pointing finger, completely ignoring Seojun’s playful tone. “So I often thought one thing.” She leans towards Seojun, as if she wants to tell him a huge secret. It sort of actually looks like this. She never told anybody about it. “Love is unkind.”The story, in which Jugyeong learns that maybe she was wrong all along and love can actually be nice.
