Summary
When Eddie’s bassist breaks his wrist right before Corroded Coffin’s first big tour he’s forced to turn to desperate measures. Namely: hiring Steve Harrington, a former industry golden boy who’s since fallen from grace, stopped recording, and vanished from the limelight entirely. Eddie’s never met Steve, but he knows he’ll hate him. He’s heard all the rumors about the guy. He knows Steve’s type — preppy, arrogant, nepo-baby asshole.

The creature huffed a little before there was a thump and then—a whine. The whine wasn’t the sound of the demodogs. No, it was the sound of just a dog. Dustin relaxed slightly but then there was a small bark. Nothing too loud as if the dog was out there, not trying to wake the neighborhood but gain his attention.
Dustin swallowed, Dart still flickering in his mind, before he moved, crawling on his bed to the window. He slowly peered through, and the dark hid a lot but, he could just make out a dog. It wasn't some Upside Dog version of a dog but a massive dog.Bookmarked by alliestars

Summary
In the Spring of 1983 Steve Harrington starts to see the future -- kind of. He glimpses moments from another life in flashes and fragments. The first of those vision is the death of Barbara Holland. When Steve sets out to save her, he has no idea how much his world will change in the process.
Attempting to save Barb pulls Steve into friendships he never would have expected, he meets a gaggle of middle schoolers ahead of schedule, and before long, everyone is facing Hawkins' bizarre threats together.
And then there's Eddie Munson. Steve isn’t sure why Eddie keeps appearing in his glimpses of an unknown future. He’s even less sure why he can’t seem to stop thinking about the guy in the present. But dragging Eddie into the orbit of Steve’s increasingly strange collection of friends means Steve gets plenty of opportunities to figure it out.
With every alteration Steve makes, Hawkins changes with it. But the monsters keep coming, and as the timeline shifts, the future becomes harder to predict. And Steve finds, too, that changing the future is not without its consequences.
