Two inflection points; one is John's, the other, Sherlock's. While the subject is murder (the title says it all), the heart of each story is John and Sherlock's love for each other.

Bookmarker's Notes
Post-HLV, Sherlock is a mess. He gets support from Lestrade and Donovan (who volunteers her niece, who is a fabulous character here!), but gets extremely mixed signals from John. His efforts to get clean while working cases is painful to behold but so well written. Highly recommended.

Bookmarker's Notes
Sherlock is a criminal genius. He hires John Watson to be his doctor, in lieu of requiring Harry Watson to pay off her gambling debts. John falls in love with him, but Sherlock already has a paramour. Slow build, difficulty crafting a space for each other.

Bookmarker's Notes
I adore this omegaverse which avoids almost all the tropes, yet features Sherlock with John's daughter and a developing relationship with John. Just charming!
