Summary
It all happened, Asgore thought, exactly as Carol predicted it would.
All he’d had to do--all he’d maybe ever had to do--was leave his doors unlocked. Within hours, a Dark World bloomed in his shop like an invasive kudzu, crawling up the walls and staining the world in saturated blacklight.
This time, they would stop it.
No one else’s child would be lost. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever again.
Right?
(Or: Asgore sets a trap to catch a Fountain-maker, and nothing goes according to plant.)

Summary
Everyone has their own definition of Love. But how do you explain the concept of Love to a being that wasn't built to understand it?
(Mizuki, being a seaborn, doesn't understand the concept of Love. Mizuki, also being a human, wants to understand and experience it. Highmore, being both and neither, doesn't have anything better to do.)
