Danny already thought he didn't understand ghost customs very well. He certainly doesn't understand them any better when Walker tries to muzzle him.
OR: Danny doesn't understand how ghost sex works and no one has bothered to explain those customs to him. When his tongue falls out as part of "ghost puberty," he suddenly is getting way more info about it than he ever wanted. Walker just assumes since Danny's mom is a portal, clearly he wasn't raised right and needs someone to stop him from knocking some poor ghost up.

Together they must both face their truths if they want to get out alive.
