Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng has many friends. She also has had a crush on Adrien Agreste, as has everyone else, since he became *the* teen supermodel of Paris. Marinette soon learns, though, that these friends might not be as devoted to her as she thought. When Lila Rossi spreads a rumor about Marinette, nobody believes Marinette. Well, nobody except for 2 people. It just so happens that these 2 people are madly in love, and will do whatever it takes to win her love.

Adrien runs away.
After a particularly bad fight with his father, Adrien decides to run away from home. His friends are searching, the police suspect foul play, and Gabriel starts to spiral. Meanwhile, Marinette can’t help but notice that something’s different about Chat Noir—he’s almost always around somewhere, ‘on patrol’ (wandering aimlessly), or scrounging around for food (much to the chagrin of local alley cats). Conflicted, he does his best to support Marinette and make sure she's ok, as she falls deeper and deeper into the darkest parts of herself.
