Mother made all her children beautiful.
She had always been vain in that way.
For her first child, she pulled gold from the bellies of bees and pressed it into their skin, stole laughter from rivers and threaded it through the voice of her next. Some were shaped from moss, some she spun from moonlight—some from hemlock, some from bone, and all were kissed awake on the first day of spring with her mouth full of honey.
Not Draco.
When Draco crossed the border of Mother’s garden, he expected the mortal world to be ugly, rotten, and cursed. Instead, he found Harry.

Summary
An irresistible scent made itself known in Harry’s nostrils as he could smell the scent of clear arousal. Harry’s eyes widened as he tried to pinch his nose. “Merlin, Malfoy, are you in heat?”
Draco’s eyes were fixed in a nasty glare as he stared at him. “It’s uncouth to ask an omega about his heat,” he said instead of answering Harry’s question.
“It’s also uncouth for an omega to offer his heat to any alpha, much more if he’s a pureblood heir.” Harry easily shot back.
“You didn’t know much about secondary sexes when you first came to Hogwarts.” Bitterness evident in the omega’s tone. “Suddenly, you’re the paragon of mating etiquette?”
“I may not have known much, but at least my instincts knew to stay away from an omega like you.” Harry easily retorted, taking pleasure in how Draco’s face had briefly crumpled.
Draco stared up at him with his silver irises and purred out. “And what are your instincts telling you now?”
It was clear to Harry that Draco was just toying with him. He inched his face closer to Draco’s before he uttered in a deep voice. “It’s telling me that you’re nothing but a desperate whore.”
