“Iʼm back, Damian. This is real. Itʼs me. ”
“No,” Damian snarls, twisting in Clarkʼs grip, “— you arenʼt Jon, you bastard, where is he?” His brothers and sisters shift behind them, uncomfortable at his unusual display of emotion, but he doesnʼt care.
The imposter — laughs. Chortles, really, head tossed back in amusement as he giggles wildly, and it sounds too much like the Joker for anyoneʼs comfort. The Not-Jon manages to get himself under control, flicking away a laughter induced tear, and smiles at him brightly. Damianʼs heart aches in his chest because it looks so much like him, but. This is not his best friend.
His best friend is not seventeen and older than him by two years, his best friend does not have a deep, painful looking scar on his face, and his best friend would never break Batmanʼs back like itʼs uncooked spaghetti.

Summary
In a world that's a collage of the Justice Lords Universe, the Injustice Universe, and a handful of elements that just catch my fancy, Jon and Damian find themselves being pulled in and out of each other's orbits as the events of their world force them to choose sides. With Damian's kryptonite blade at Jon's throat, Jon's hand around Damian's neck, and their hearts in each other's hands, it's only a matter of time before they become each other's undoing.
“You should’ve looked the other way that day.” Damian hisses.
“Would you have?” Jon counters. “If it had been me that was the spy?”
“No,” he says. “I would’ve killed you.”
