Summary
Dainsleif, the family cat, is full of surprises. From snake skins to butterflies, the souvenirs he brings from his adventures range from sweet to strange, each of them calling into question just what he does when he decides to head out.
When Lumine jokingly suggests that he bring home some of his cat friends, none of them expect Dainsleif to follow through.
Yet, here he is, meowing desperately for help, a small, injured calico balanced precariously on his back.
"He really did it."
"Did what?"
Lumine points.
There, curled together like a pair of shrimp, are Dain and the calico, the former of the two all but dwarfing the other in size. The two of them are napping, sharing Dain's cat bed. Though, from the way his friend rests against him, Dainsleif is currently more bed than cat, practically cushioning the smaller feline with his body.
Dain, of course, does not mind. If anything, he looks happy, a steady purr rumbling out of him as the two of them snuggle.
