Summary
It’s the last hours of the Festival of Termina, and Amos is one of the only contestants left. His friends are dead, he has no hope of escape, and even if he did, there was nothing left for him out there.
Rather than moonscorching, he resolves to drink himself into a stupor and then end it all. It’s in this state that the Pocket Cat appears to Amos, and offers him an out, with an extra benefit to sweeten the deal.
