Summary
His face, pale like a ghost. His bangs, messy, framing his face to shade his eyes in that hollow, haunting way. His eyes, as soulless as the Devil he was, and the smile he wore, not unkind, but meaning nothing: a man who looked human, acted human, moved like one too. Distinctly, like a monster wearing the skin of one to mimic to not cause concern.
“Dos-kun,” he breathes, wind sucked from his lungs. The bird in his chest peeks from its cage as Nikolai leans forward, falling to his knees. “You’re back.”

Summary
To pass time further, I shall give you a detailed recount of how my days have been. It is the sort of mundane that may one day drive me to madness. The place I am staying, a manor belonging to one Edgar Allan Poe, is well-kept, polished, and spacious. It has floors that shine from sheer disuse and lights with just enough of an antique feel… novels from head to toe of the library, but none as infuriating as your works. There are books at every corner with expensive decor. Yet the rooms feel empty, awkward still: I doubt this man has ever had real company over before.
(Or: a series of letters, addressed to a friend.)

“Marionette. May I ask what this is about?”
“I have a request,” The woman states, and in the same cadence one would say, lovely day today, she continues: “Half my lab has gone up in smoke. Do you have a spare room?”
“...Pardon?”
In which Arlecchino grows to feel the tiniest amount of interest in her coworker.

Summary
“You look like her,” Furina says absentmindedly, and moves her hands to her face. Eyes close as fingers brush her cheek, then delicately move stray strands of hair behind her ear.
“I was made in her image,” Sandrone responds. She is content to stay in this position, before her duties, before her title, before the world wakes.
Furina, a doll, and the dead woman she once knew.

Really, the fact that it’s taken this long for her patience to dwindle is a shock even to her. Hands fold behind her back as she takes a breath as all eyes fix on her — Kaede, Tsumugi, Gonta, Kaito. A welcome silence (for her, anyways) settles over the room. Kaede breaks it first.
“Are you the mastermind, Kirumi?”
(written for the i am the mastermind danganronpa zine in 2020).

Summary
The smell of chrysanthemums hangs in the air. The explosion of fireworks display splashes of brilliant color in the darkened night, with the moon bearing witness to this exchange.
On the day of the Lantern Rite, some say they saw two figures strolling through Liyue Harbor.
One was a local doctor; the other a foreigner. Both were in glasses. One had a colorful outfit, the other was dressed like he was going to a funeral. People adored one and shunned the other.
But they were both smiling.

Summary
Although you are also a newly crowned Archon, I've heard you already have lots and lots of confidence and experience with the duties of the role, taking to it as effortlessly as a duck to water[...]
If you would permit it, I would be very honoured to visit and learn at your side. I promise not to get in your way! I would be like a botanist watching and taking notes while tucked away in the bushes, out of sight and out of mind.
