Summary
Danny curls himself a little more tightly around the star that was once Jazz, the jagged points of it rounded enough that it doesn't quite hurt.
Danny wants it to hurt. Wants it to meld into him point by stabbing point.
It is the greatest injustice that Danny will not fade away, that he has been left behind by his loved ones with each agonizing breath that Danny does not need.
The Ancient of Space, they call him. Youngest of their kind.

Cass clears her throat and asks again. She enunciates clearly, in case her words were slurred. She still has issues speaking sometimes, when she is too comfortable (or contrastingly too uncomfortable).

Steph blinks. Her entire body is rigid, primed for escape in three different ways, but Cass can see the way her gaze bounces over Cass' form; the way Steph's restless stare is like a tiger surveying the best way to slink over their prey—the quietest way to pin her.

Danny stops his pacing, staring at the hardwood floor of his apartment. He shuts his eyes, counts to ten.
He takes a deep fortifying breath, opens his eyes, and turns around.
Gotham stares impatiently at him, resplendent and annoyed. She's even tapping her foot and rolling her bloodless, void like eyes as if to say I cannot believe the audacity of you to take so long to freak out about my presence.
…This is totally not fine.
Or, for the prompt: Danny having any kind of fun & funky relationship with Gotham City As An Entity of some kind. Especially when Gotham has strong feelings about the Bats, in ways that either cause Danny problems or actually help him out!

Jason walks over to where Danny was dragging a guy, clawing at the floor and begging for forgiveness, into some sort of ice box prison where some of the other cultists were huddled up in the corner, robes torn or straight up shredded.
“Okay, buddy, c’mon, playtime over.” He claps his gloved hands together trying to get Danny’s attention. “Hey. Hey! No! Put it down, Phantom.”
Danny is- jesus, is on all fours growling at him with a guy’s leg in his mouth. Still attached thankfully. He wasn’t looking forward to playing tug of war with the chewed off part. Again.
At least the guy had passed out from fear. He doesn’t have to live through the trauma.
Jason folds his arms, giving Phantom his best unimpressed looks behind the mask. “Down. Now.”
Phantom stares, eyes bright like a cat’s eye reflection in a picture.
Jason stares back. Then finally. “Alright then, no more of A’s cookies.”

"Uh, I knew. Obviously." Steve says, wisely, even though he clearly didn't. "Anyway, do you think we could eat a demobat? Or would we turn into some kind of monstrous freak? I'm starving, and Dustin's cheese crackers are not enough to get me on my feet again."
"What difference does it make to me if I'm a human freak or a monster one?" Eddie shrugs, and Steve butts his shoulder up against Eddie. It's meant to be brotherly, maybe friendly, but it's too soft. Felt like something he might have done before slinging an arm around a girl's shoulders.
"You're not a freak." Steve says, and finds he means it.
Eddie's eyes, when he looks at Steve, are curious. "No?"
