Summary
Emerald has a mission to complete. Help Cinder fulfil Salem's wishes: obtain the Maiden powers, obtain the relics and while at it, destroy the kingdoms. After attacking the current Fall Maiden and failing to steal all the power, Emerald, Cinder and Mercury infiltrate Beacon, disguised as students. Emerald meets Ruby, but things start to change after they spend time together. But what does this mean for her mission?
RWBY Volume 2 and 3 but in Emerald's perspective, as well as incorporating Blood Mint into it.

(Sequel to Face My Fears)
When the war ended and Ruby disappeared, the rest of team RWBY thought that was the end. They built themselves back up from the broken pieces left behind by their missing member, two years of misery and struggle and finding peace and sanctuary. It wasn't perfect, but it was what they had- and they made it. They were content again.But then they learned of a miracle. Learned that dreams can come true.
Because Ruby Rose is out there. Somewhere. Reformed from the process that shattered her to the winds. And it is up to Weiss and Blake and Yang to find her once more so they can all be together again. As one family. One team. Oh, there will be countless struggles, but they are willing to face whatever is coming their way head-on.
...But perhaps they will learn too late that finding Ruby and getting her back is only a quarter of the battle.

Summary
Salem is gone. The storm has cleared at long last. With its passing, team RWBY has been granted something they long since stopped daring hope for — a chance to just live. To mourn, to heal, and to pick up the pieces of the lives the Fall had shattered. To find their laughter again… and to make sense of the feelings they put on the backburner for far too long.
Who would’ve thought that the return to normalcy was going to be so hard?
For Ruby and Weiss, their bond is their strength and solace, but it is also a mess. A beautiful, complicated tangle of blurred lines and the vaguest of boundaries, welded together in the fires of hardship. Strong and true, but messy all the same. ‘What are they?’ is not an easy question for them to answer, and scarier yet to ask. Partners? Best friends? Kindred souls? Or all of those, and something more? A comfortable status quo — but is comfort all that the heart truly desires?
