Summary
Life, love, and legacy all intertwine as Gwen Stacy becomes endowed with superhuman abilities after a chance encounter with a genetically modified spider, leading her to take up the mantle of New York City's anonymous superhero. Despite the many gifts that she possesses, her newfound responsibility to the city she loves clashes with the ups and downs of her civilian life, and the conflict demands more and more out of Gwen with every passing day. After a slip in judgement leads to tragedy and upends Gwen's life, the young hero faces the harsh realities of moving on from pain and heartache. But a mysterious plan set in motion by a villain in the shadows begins to take form, and Gwen finds herself fighting battles-both around her and inside of herself-as she fights to hang on to all that is left of her life.
