Hyuntak frowned deeply at that, and Seongje went ablaze inside of his chest.
"What the fuck are you on about?" He barked, sounding way too much like a startled puppy. The way his eyes twinkled with something between anger and embarrassment just did it for Seongje, he couldn't hold back his teethy grin from appearing."It's almost cute, seeing you try to deny it." He put a hand on his cheek, tapping it twice with no real force. "Were you so worried that I forgot about my dear playmate, mhm?"
;three years later, Hyuntak crosses paths with Seongje. This time though, whatever he felt for him in the past starts looking like something entirely different.

Summary
Gotak glanced at the switchblade. Then, he glanced at Seongje again, his eyes shaky. Seongje stared back at him, challenging him.
“Yes,” Gotak lied through gritted teeth, voice trembling. “Positive.”
The beer-bellied man let go of Gotak’s collar. “Let’s go!” he barked at the group behind him, throwing one last glare at Gotak before pushing past him.
Gotak and Seongje remained in place until the sound of their footsteps faded. Seongje felt the dread slowly begin to fade, but he waited. Counted seconds, expected the men to come back.
No one did. Gotak sighed in relief. Then, he turned to face Seongje. He looked down at him, eyes wide.
“What the fuck,” Gotak asked, voice stern but wavering, “is happening to you, Keum Seongje?”
Seongje dropped his head.
Go Hyuntak had just saved him.
How fucking pathetic.
Or,
Seongje is haunted by the demons of his past. Hyuntak becomes his little guardian angel.
(aka: Seongje (unwillingly) joins Cheongang to protect Hyuntak, but really it's Hyuntak that's (willingly) doing all the saving)

Summary
Seongje continues, rhythmic and concise. Movements and wrist turns, a sly smile. “Weird and weak. A dog without a leash.”
Hyuntak's eyebrows reach his hairline. Somewhat less sharp at the edges, Seongje continues to clash and signal offenses as he would at his ear. With a very doubtful assertiveness for someone who just glimpsed some random video of insults. He trained for this, to offend him in a way that was reasonable-seeming and audible to Hyuntak.
“Let's fight, Go Hyuntak.” It was the last thing he signaled, after the barrage of ugly words and taunts. And at another time, that would have been directly offensive. It still is. But the whole situation was hilarious because his chest was shaking and shaking. He realized he was laughing.
Go Hyuntak is deaf and finds himself developing a crush on his enemy because he learned sign language to insult him. Geum Seongje is kinda pathetic and obsessed so his love language is violence.
