From this angle, Frank can’t see his face, only his broad back and a shock of dark hair.
“Uh, hey. I’m Frank, I’ll be training you today.” He says, willing his voice and hand to be still, stretching it out for a cool handshake as the guy turns around.
Frank freezes and feels his eyes go wide.
It’s the man from his dreams– the exact same man– the same shoulder length black hair, the same eyes, same round face, yet somehow his skin is more pale in this lighting.
The man gingerly shakes his hand and Frank flinches. It’s cold, and the tips of his fingers wrap around the skin of his wrist, barely touching his pulse point.
He answers with, “Gerard.”----
Or; Frank's been living in the same town in New Jersey his whole life and everything's been absolutely boring thus far, but it all changes when he comes face to face from the man who's been haunting his dreams, the man who's now his retail co-worker.

If you see them out, you best believe they don't see you.” Frank tried to ignore the guy's tone turn gradually darker and lower, and tried to pass it off as a silly ghost story, but Frank couldn't help but be dragged in by it. He was intrigued.

Mikey let out a long-suffering sigh, pushed his hands under his glasses to rub at his eyes. “Frank… I told you to be careful. I said Gerard was dealing with some shit.”
“You didn’t tell me he was going full Johnny the Homicidal Maniac!”
“Hey!” Gerard piped up, as if he had any room to be offended. “If anything, it’s more… Anne Rice.” He had mumbled the last bit, had the nerve to look downright sheepish.
Ray laughed, high and maniacal. An involuntary reaction to what was an objectively ridiculous statement. But Frank's spine tingled, everything fitting together, his suspicions confirmed.
“Fucking. Vampire.”
