Brian thought, this is it. He’d somehow expected this to go on longer. When this deal first started to take shape, it was nothing but a blowjob with a gun to his head. He’d thought then that it was nothing but buying time, waiting for an opportunity. He’d given up on escaping, but he supposed he never stopped thinking of it in those terms: buying time.
