As she's speaking, a thought crosses her mind. She verbalizes it before she can put real thought into it.
"Unless someone like you'd like to show me."
The air in the room changes, and a silence washes over them. Did she really just say that?
"Fae," Fiyero murmurs softly. His eyes have widened considerably. She panics.
"I'm sorry," she blurts out. "I shouldn't have suggested that. I just thought since you've slept with so many people, what's one more? But that was totally inappropriate of me." She moves to put her things away, feeling she's ruined their study night. She's stopped by Fiyero's hand placed on her arm. She looks at the limb in surprise, before looking up. His expression is serious and focused.
"Stop, please Elphaba. Do I get to answer?"

She regarded him carefully, “You don’t know where I’m going.”
“I’m assuming Shiz, considering we’re close to campus.” She narrowed her eyes but did not contradict him.
“Stranger danger.” She whispered sarcastically instead.
“In that case, my name is Fiyero.” He extended a hand, “See if you introduce yourself, then we won’t be strangers anymore.” He smiled crookedly.
“What are you playing at?”
“Its late, its dark,” He leaned in and whispered playfully, “and rumor has it there’s idiots on Horseback trampling young ladies. Our apologies. Once again.”
A puff of air out of her nose.
Was that a laugh?
“Elphaba.” She supplied, somewhat reluctantly.

Nessarose invades her sister's bedroom and reads them. Quickly putting two and two together, she knows who she's talking about, so when Fiyero and his father come to Munchikinland during the break for political reasons, Nessa gives him Elphaba's letters...

5 times Elphaba wrote on her diary exactly what she felt for Fiyero and exactly what she wanted him to do to her + one time Nessa gave him what she wrote.

"Falling unconscious was supposed to be a mercy. A blessing, a way to protect yourself from the turmoil and anguish you were facing. It didn’t work that way for Elphaba though. She’d tried, she’d poured everything she had, every trick in that cursed book, every ounce of power she possessed into trying to save Fiyero. In the end it had amounted to nothing but hazy flashes of what they were doing to him dancing across her eyes, and an angry vow to never do anything good again. Collapsing to the cold stone floor of Kiamo Ko, she’d barely registered Chistery and the other monkeys wrapping a cloak around her before her eyes slid shut."
A time-travel fix it fic, where Elphaba collapses after No Good Deed, but doesn't wake up exactly where she expects she would have....

Shiz isn't worried about pairing Fiyero with the green girl because they assume he won't want to fuck her.
