Summary
Chuuya is scrabbling frantically at Mori's hands around his throat, his eyes wide. His body glows a faint red, fizzles out like a cough.
"You can't even use your powers when you're like this, can you, Chuuya-kun?"
"Mori, he is hurt." Dazai's voice rasps with controlled anger.
Mori ignores him. "I can't tell where Dazai's plan begins and your stupidity ends, but regardless, such information should have never come out of that mouth of yours. What did you think? That such treachery will be forgiven and you will be made an exception? By the rules of the mafia, you are a traitor."

When one of Dazai's plans go too far, it inadvertently leads to Chuuya's death sentence. While in the dungeon cellars together facing the consequences, Dazai takes care of Chuuya and tries to save him.

Dazai takes care of his partner and picks up the pieces in the aftermath.

"If you've ever heard anything about us, you'd know it's quite the opposite, Hideyuki."
"Let's test this," Hideyuki says, "I want whatever important information you can provide regarding all of the Port Mafia's weakspots. If you don't... well, you're intelligent. Do you see where this is going?"
The silence is deadly.

Fyodor makes an announcement that Dazai is dead. Chuuya reacts as well as anyone could expect—with extreme violence.
Dazai smiles after seeing him use Corruption despite both of them knowing each use could be his last. Dazai’s the only one who’s ever smiled at him after seeing him be so disgraced, be so inhuman, be so much like the god of calamity and destruction he actually is.

Truth be told, Dazai made no effort to contradict Fukuzawa when he delivered the envelope with the details of this mission with a little sticky note, clearly in Mori’s handwriting, stating that he’d have to cooperate with the man Dazai vowed to kill at the ripe age of fifteen and has a track record of seven years of absolute failure. Not that Dazai has ever tried hard enough to get closer to his goal, though—not that he’s actually tried at all, for that matter.
Or: Five times Dazai fumbled an opportunity to confess his feelings, and one time he does something about it.

Summary
Dazai did not want to hold Chuuya’s hand. The only reason he was thinking about it was experimental curiosity about the otherworldly thing possessing the hatrack.
He didn’t want it, so it would be fine. Dazai only lost things that he wanted, so as long as he didn’t want it, he couldn’t lose anything.(Alternatively: after they hold hands to defeat Randou, Dazai has a lot of yearning, and he deals with his emotions in a characteristically avoidant manner. By indulging himself whenever Chuuya is knocked out post-Corruption.)

Summary
The main issue is that now the Port Mafia will know he’s alive and working for the agency… now Chuuya will know he’s alive. Chuuya is one of the only people on this stupid, rotten planet who knows his secret; who can tell everyone his secret and ruin this perfectly well-built alpha life he has going for himself.
He’s also the only alpha that can command him, and Dazai does not miss commands, that’s for sure. Even when Chuuya would use them gently, it always felt so cold and demeaning. His omega thought commands were nice; it thought they meant he would be good for his alpha and that he would be protected.
And that’s why his omega is stupid and is suppressed now.
Suppressed but still occasionally annoying.

“Oi, Dazai. We’re here.” Chuuya reached into the car to shake Dazai’s shoulders a bit, rearranging his coat to lay over the man’s back. Dazai swayed and blinked up at him. Whatever painkillers he’d been given had stolen the sharpness from his face. Dazai looked fifteen again, wide-eyed and vulnerable.
And then he smiled. He smiled and Chuuya’s heart stuttered because it was so fucking real, so small and different from all the painted faces he wore now.
This was dangerous.

Summary
"Dazai..." Chuuya's voice comes out too tight and small, unlikely to ever reach Dazai. His hand lifts shakily, in some dazed attempt to stop him. There is panic wild and fast in his chest, the beginnings of hyperventilation, his breaths shallow and quick.
Something's wrong, something's wrong—
This hurts too much, it's not supposed to be like this—
His vision is blurring, and his head is taut and aching with the stress and anxiety and so much anguish that he can barely comprehend it.
The last of Dazai's hazy form disappears, far in the distance.
_______Forced into a difficult situation, Dazai has to leave Chuuya behind post-Corruption without his usual thorough check-up. Only, he has no idea just what state Chuuya was in as he was walking away from him that night.
Grief is a good teacher on how to value those you love. When he gets Chuuya back, Dazai uses his lessons well.

There was a pause on the other end, the weight of Kunikida's words hanging in the air between them. When Dazai finally spoke, his voice was softer, tinged with a vulnerability that was rare for him.
"Thank you, Kunikida-kun," he said, his tone devoid of its usual playful edge. "I think I've said this before, but I'm so glad you were my partner."
Kunikida's chest tightened at Dazai's words, a swell of emotion rising within him. "I'm glad to hear that," he replied earnestly. "Despite our differences, I wouldn't have wanted anyone else by my side."

It haunts and haunts and haunts him everywhere, until one night, he woke up with a horrifying thought.
Am I becoming him?
When he looked in the mirror, Dazai didn’t see himself. Breaking the mirror to pieces didn’t change a thing either. From within the broken shards on his bathroom floor, Mori-san still looked back at him, and Dazai screamed.

In nearly every way (except the most notable), the Princess of Hyrule was the Goddess incarnate. For that reason alone, it was a little ingenious for the King to offer up his daughter’s hand to whoever was able to pull the sword.
Link hadn’t meant to pull the sword. He planned to watch as his comrades pulled with all their might, perhaps even tease a few about how it was all for the better that the sword didn’t budge, because surely no Princess could ever love their ugly mugs, and then get into a good old-fashioned wrestling match with their bruised egos after one too many jokes.
