Summary
“Fuck me, this is just too painful,” Parker groans with a shake of her head.
Shen nods, the straw of his now room-temperature caramel latte secured between his front teeth. “Could've been worse if she'd gotten clocked in the nose.”
“I meant this whole courting thing Abbot is doing with all the goddamn Tupperwares,” she glances at her colleague with disbelief tinted with a blatant shade of judgement. “It’s been going on for so long the bet got voided. Voided, John.”
“You're just mad because you put a fifty on them fucking within two weeks.”
“Well, excuse me for believing the man had more game than that. I just don't get straight men.”
(or the one about how cooking for you might just be Jack Abbot's love language)

Summary
Objectively, he knows you’re merely trying to entertain a patient during a rather disagreeable procedure. You’re only doing your job but must you be so chipper about it in front of a guy with tree trunks for legs and biceps the size of your head? Jesus.
Jack can’t help but clear his throat behind you. Your hands raise as you pause your sutures to turn to him.
“You need something, Dr. Abbot?” you ask innocently, batting your eyelashes at him in a move that had him metaphorically on his knees before you two got together – still does the trick, honestly, even after all this time.
(or how Jack's jealousy gets a little triggered when he hears a patient hitting on you)

Summary
The minute he steps into the ED, Jack can tell something is up. Sure, he's there on time rather than early but while it might be a recently formed habit when it comes to his job, it's pretty much old news by now. No, it's something else. He can’t quite name it yet but it's there.
It's the stares following him from the doors of the ambulance bay to the lockers, the whispers that stop as he passes by the day shift team, the smug smirk on Dana's face.
He knows better than to ask her directly though. She'll come to him when she's good and ready. Chances are, it'll happen when he least expects it.
(or what happens when both shift teams realize Jack Abbot has a controversially young girlfriend who may or may not be Internet famous and universally loved in the city)

Summary
It starts the way it always does after night shift: one text from Jack, another bad decision, one drive through gray Pittsburgh morning to his townhouse. It is supposed to be casual. But casual does not look like your toothbrush in his bathroom. Casual does not taste like coffee made exactly how you like it. Casual does not feel like his sweatshirt on your skin, his hand finding your hip in sleep, or him standing in the doorway until he knows you made it to your car. Jack Abbot wants you. That part has never been the problem. The problem is everything he does after.

Summary
The problem is, no one knows how to market Ilya Rozanov's (in his own words) sexy Euro masculinity to an audience of white straight men.
He needs the best. And if it happens to be his secret lover’s mother who despises his very existence, so be it.

Summary
"Mr. Hollander, with all due respect, there is a very clear difference here. No one is stopping you and Mr. Rozanov from doing whatever you want in your free time, but this is a workplace. Many players and fans feel uncomfortable watching that kind of behaviour-"
"Then they can close their eyes," Shane interrupted in a very uncharacteristic manner.
OR: Shane has been the NHL golden boy for 11 seasons, but some people are simply begging for a verbal slapdown. The internet reacts.

Summary
“Can’t hang out tonight, Hayd. I have plans.”
“Bullshit,” Hayden responds. “You never have plans.”
Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.
In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.
