Summary
When Eddie had gotten back to New York with three screws in her collarbone, a scar on her cheek, a week and a half of unread emails in her inbox, and two reports due to clients that her team had utterly failed to deliver on in her absence, her primary concern had been catching up. Eddie did not actually mind one bit that she cared more immediately about this than she did about life, death, and the sacred bonds of friendship. After all, anyone would rather choose to run a marathon than find themselves suddenly being chased 26.2 miles by a sabre-tooth tiger. Life would leap at any chance you gave it to take your options away, but you were always free to take on a set of worries of your own choosing.
Of course, sometimes those choices didn't feel like choices. Sometimes you found yourself surrounded by people running in the same direction as you, flanked on either side by spectators measuring your pace, and the fact that you'd chosen this particular finish line became irrelevant, because you didn't have any choice anymore over whether you were going to keep moving toward it. This was probably still better than nothing.

Summary
A fifteen-year-old Richie Tozier receives his first valentine; a bouquet of flowers, signed his secret admirer. He's ecstatic, overjoyed, happier than a three-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.
There's just one issue.
He's really, really allergic to pollen.
