Summary
She can’t look away. She wants to, but she can’t. Can’t look away, can’t get far enough away—even 2,500 miles isn’t far enough—can’t even get control of her own fucking body. It’s her cross to bear. Her curse to bear the brunt of. She should just be grateful that she’s still alive to bear it in the first place. Anaya wasn’t that lucky.
Luck. Ridiculous. It had nothing to do with luck.
She squeezes her eyes shut, but the image of the calendar stays burned into her mind. She digs her fingernails into her palm, even though she can’t really feel it.
She can’t feel anything, actually.
The turn comes, and she lets it quiet everything.
Her situationship with a coworker. A roommate who's gotten too close. And, fifteen years ago, her failure to stop the death of her best friend.
Trinity is a werewolf who's haunted by more than just the full moon.

Summary
“We need to get out of here,” Dennis mutters, trying to focus on that task.
It occurs to him that he doesn’t even know where his own front door is anymore. The walls are now floors, the floors are now walls. Trying to push his concussed brain to solve rotation puzzles for the location of a door is like trying to shoot a tipping duck. For all Dennis knows, they’re buried under a hillside’s worth of dirt, and any exit point is blocked by more suffocating darkness.
Trinity forces out a laugh, cold and ironic. “We don’t have our phones, I don’t hear any sirens, and I’m literally pinned to this godforsaken house. We’re not leaving any time soon.”
(In which the Whitsantos household gets caught up in a landslide)

Summary
Yolanda knows Trinity's hands intimately. She knows the rhythm of them at work, fast and precise and unendingly capable. She has the feeling of them on her waist at two in the morning, warm under the hem of her shirt and pressing into the lower edges of her ribs, memorized. She can find the half-moon scar near Trinity's right thumb without a second glance and is familiar with the way she cracks her knuckles every morning as soon as she wakes up, like her own personal version of a morning stretch.
So when, hardly an hour into their night out with coworkers, Trinity's fist slams into a man's face hard enough to send him staggering into the edge of a high-top table, Yolanda is so stunned that she reels almost as hard as the actual recipient of the punch.

Summary
A month after a brutal Fourth of July shift and a quiet fallout with Garcia, Trinity Santos does what she does best, throws herself into work and tries not to think about anything else.
Then a burn patient with dark red hair and an easy smile walks into her ER.
At first, the flirting feels harmless. The chance encounters feel like coincidence.
The problem is… she keeps showing up.

Summary
The equilibrium of saving lives to the weight of her sorrows carefully kept her steady. Trinity took on more patients and cases. She managed her charting and her tone with patients. She did everything right.
She just fell short. That’s all.
Maybe that’s all to it for Trinity. All the signs are pointing to the way out and Trinity knows how to get there. She’s known the way since she was seventeen.
