Summary
Taeyang's life was pretty boring. He went to school, came back home, did homework, slept. Nothing exciting, and he liked it that way.
Except there was this boy who sometimes interrupted that peace and quiet.Taeyang opened the window latches quickly, pushing the frame up. “Idiot, what the hell are you doing??”
Jiung was just smiling. “Hey.”
“Don’t ‘hey’ me! Someone’s gonna see you!” Taeyang reached out to grab Jiung’s wrist. He tugged him forward, Jiung easily letting him.
Jiung stepped over the windowsill and into the room, tattered shoes landing with a soft thud on the floorboards. He didn’t land as lightly as usual, knees bending a little too much. Taeyang’s eyes flicked down, noticing the wobble and a slight cut through his pants that sunk into the skin on his ankle.
Did he save someone again? Taeyang couldn’t help but be worried. Jiung had gotten a bit more reckless lately.Series

In high school, Jiung and Taeyang found a new rock to sit on. They couldn’t keep sitting on the one at their elementary school, obviously, and the middle school years were a bit rough, but eventually they found one. It’s a boulder some ways up the hill of the local park, not quite overlooking the playground, but it’s familiar still. Sure, not the same, but familiar.
