The sudden jerk rattled the cuffs loudly, which seemed to be what really snapped Kokichi awake. His gaze darted down to the chain, then traveled up Shuichi’s arm, his eyes widening as they locked onto the detective's face.
"??? What the hell?????" Kokichi repeated, louder this time.
In a fraction of a second, the groggy confusion vanished, replaced by a sudden, oddly bright grin. It didn’t quite reach his eyes, the grin.
“...Shuichi? What is this?”
Shuichi felt a headache coming on.
or
Shuichi and Kokichi are locked in a room together, handcuffed, until they apparently reach “Total Mutual Trust”. Chaos ensues.

Summary
