Based off a prompt on Reddit by DumpsterFireScented.
Severus Snape was everyone’s favorite teacher. He made Potions fun, and almost every student continued his class all the way up to 7th year. He never gave any House or student special treatment over the others, and took special care with the most timid first years until they became confident brewers. When Harry Potter came to Hogwarts, no one was really surprised that he took the small, slightly nervous boy under his wing.
