Both seem to happen easier after Ronald Weasley turned Gryffindor House against her. With new friends, new adults she can trust, and her first friend Neville Longbottom by her side, Hermione finally gets to feel the normality she'd always wanted.
But trouble comes anyway. Harry Potter never held the patent on perilous tasks.

If Hermione made it through the war, she didn't want to just win, but make sure that things wouldn't go back to 'normal'. She not only has plans, but also friends in the Ministry; she'll get those in power to agree with her. And beyond the veil, Sirius has repaid a debt that can only help her.
Hermione has relied on wixen ignorance of anything non-magical to protect her parents; and now she'll use her knowledge to create institutional reform and deal with grief. She'll realize she can have more people in her corner than she did before, and the Black family will grow under its new Head of House.
