Eddie hadn’t necessarily imagined a future where he was in a committed relationship with anyone, much less a jock, and much, much, much less one Steve ‘The Motherfucking Hair’ Harrington. He could get behind the idea that it took an extreme turn of events to point them toward each other but still struggled with the fact that the friendship that had blossomed after would stick in any capacity. Much less a romantic one.

Steve shook his head firmly. "I don't want new jeans. I want these to fit," he argued, tightening his core and attempting to button the pants again, or even just get the zipper to stay up if he was honest.
"Your stomach isn't the problem." Steve jumped, nearly forgetting Eddie was watching him from the doorway, one ankle thrown over the other, arms crossed over his chest. Eddie shrugged, smiling as he added, "I actually like a man with a little bit of fat on him."
