Summary
Chrissy takes the glass from Robin's hands to link them with hers. She waits to speak until Robin looks back up at her, "I know what you mean. I'm scared too. I wish I could help you feel less scared."
"Yeah, well," Robin looks away and laughs a sad laugh. Chrissy hates it. "Unless you know some magic spell that could take my virginity overnight, I think I'm just gonna have to get over it."

Summary
Steve has positioned himself on the edge of the bathtub. He's shirtless, in just his briefs, and sitting on a towel. Eddie is kneeling in front of him with a razor in one hand and a can of shaving cream in the other. He can do this. He can.
Even if it does kill him inside.

Summary
Steve’s right behind him, and Tommy is incredibly aware of the fact that he’s expected to pull his dick out and piss right now. Steve has him boxed in, one hand grazing Tommy’s elbow, the other hovering above his waist like he can’t decide if he should touch it or not, and Tommy feels like he’s been peeled open, flesh exposed to the air for anyone to see.
So, he does what he does best, deflects.

Summary
He’s decided if he’s gonna do this right, and without Steve realizing any deviant activity is going on in his bedroom, in his bed, oh god, Eddie’s gonna need to wait at least three minutes before he gets started, and probably make up an excuse about why he needed to change the sheets at two pm on a Wednesday.
Three minutes is an appropriate amount of time to ensure that Steve didn’t forget his wallet, right?
Anyways, it’s the longest three minutes of Eddie’s life, besides maybe the three minutes he was being eaten alive, but he’s trying not to think about that right now. Not sexy. Think. Sexy. Thoughts. Munson.

Eddie gets the first chance he’s had to jerk off in weeks, but hasn’t yet figured out that he and Steve are connected after the upside down, and that they feel all the same physical sensations.

Summary
“No one remembers being that little.” Dad said once, when Ollie was smaller and younger, four years old and staring teary eyed at her photo albums, not a single baby picture to be found.
“What’s stopping us from remembering whatever we want?” Dad had grinned, like he did when he was telling Pops about an idea he had for his next story.

Summary
Steve has already devoured a family sized bag of sour cream and onion chips when it occurs to him to go check the calendar.
“Ah, shit.” He mumbles around the finger he’s sucking clean. There’s so many calls he’s gonna have to make and emails he’ll have to send, things he’s gonna have to move around and all together miss out on.
“What’s up, buttercup?” Eddie asks, wandering into the kitchen, pencil stuck at the top of his pony tail and red ink smeared on the side of his hand.
“I’m early.” Steve grumbles, not bothering to sound anything other than dejected, stabbing an accusatory finger at the calendar. “I’m gonna miss Erica’s volleyball game.”
[Or: it would be a hundred times easier for everyone if Steve's heat was just about the sex.]

Summary
“You need to go.” Steve says, pushing Eddie away with a bloody hand. It’s not much of a shove, leaves a bloody handprint on the grey fabric of Eddie’s t-shirt.
“You keep saying that, Ozzy and I’m gonna start thinking you don’t want me around."
[Or: Steve gets hurt on a supply run. Eddie tries, and fails, and tries again to keep things together.]

Summary
There’s almost an entire decade between Steve and the kid sitting on his parents’ couch. It’s weird because Steve doesn’t really feel old most days.
He’s grown up, sure, moved out of his parents' house and left Hawkins and pays rent and utilities and, like, votes. He has a job and he gets coffee with Robin and shares a bed with Eddie and they go grocery shopping on Sundays.
And not a day goes by when Steve doesn’t feel like he has no idea what the hell he’s doing.
But right now he’s staring at the baby-faced kid he used to be, hair styled back and big, neat polo shirt and Levi’s, a sharply defensive glint in his eyes. He’s Steve but Steve hasn’t been that guy in a long time.
[Or: Sometimes the real demogorgan is the friends you make along the way.]

Summary
The ring feels inappropriately light considering what it’s supposed to mean.
What it will mean if Steve lets Eddie put it on his finger. If he wears it. Steve and Robin never really wear their rings. Robin doesn’t really do gold and Steve doesn’t wear jewelry. Maybe Steve doesn’t want a ring at all.
“You don’t have to wear it.” Eddie says quickly, words leap frogging out of his mouth, “I mean. If you don’t want to—”
Steve gets a little furrow between his eye brows, “Dude, you didn’t even let me answer.”
Eddie snaps his mouth shut. Right. An answer. That’s usually how questions work.
[Or: Eddie, for maybe the first time in his life, wants to follow social conventions.]
