Summary
“Well, if you want to give me a tour now, like really bad, I’d be happy too! You know what, why don’t we do it now—”
“Ros. You want to get clean. I understand.” Sniff smiled at her, happy that the girl was finally safe. “I’ll go get a bath ready for you.”
“But you don’t have to!”
“I know, Ros. Just—” Juniper moved to the staircase, locking her eyes with Ros to silently beg her to stay here. “Don’t get kidnapped again, alright? Be here when I come back down. Please?”
OR
Juniper worries about Ros after they save her from the kidnapping, so she cleans her off in a bath (non-casually, of course).

Summary
“I’m sorry,” she found herself saying.
“What are you sorry for, Ros?”
Ros watched their face, searching for words.
“I hurt you,” she whispered. “I hurt you, and I’m sorry.”
Aimsey closed their eye and leaned against Ros’s shoulder. Ros followed suit, closing her eyes and relaxing into the contact.
“Yeah. I forgive you.”

Summary
"Okay, fine! I'll admit it - I'm scared. I'm in way too deep and I don't know what I'm doing." Her tear-stained eyes looked up at him, wide with honesty and damp with guilt. The blood dripped from her hands, staining her shirt and pooling at her feet. "You're a hero. You're supposed to help people. So help me. Please."
Pangi swallowed thickly, his mask covering the slight quiver of his frown. His voice broke when he spoke.
"I'm no hero."
* * * * *
At the end of the day, Pangi and Ros are two sides of the same coin: one must fall, and only one can win.
