Summary
After taking time to mourn his sister, Jonathan comes across the most enticing estra scent. Finding out it belongs to a vampire hunter does not dissuade him from wanting to pursue Geoffrey. After convincing Geoffrey to join him in tracking down Sean Hampton, the night becomes a constant trial of ordeals that neither asked for.
[As of 8.30.26: Gave in to the fact that this thing is so fake omegaverse, I should change the labels already since it's just scent. So! Introducing andros and estra. Based off the pheromones of androstadienone and estratetraenol. Plurals are androi and estres, continuing with the Greek theme. And it's better than my original descriptor of floofies and floffies… Which I still think would be funny.]

Hermann nearly shouts, “You’re on death’s doorstep, we need to get you to the infirmary so that an actual doctor can take care of you and relieve your suffering—”
“That’s not going to help,” Newt says, voice sure, but he’s not looking into Hermann’s eyes—he’s looking at his wrist.
Hermann frowns. He has no idea what Newt could possibly be staring at.
Whether Hermann would like to admit it or not, he cares about his lab partner's health, about the fact that he’s pale as a sheet of paper—
And about the fact that there are fangs dropping from Newt's hungry, delirious lips, longer than any human’s, predatory in shape.
And for some reason the first thing that Hermann thinks is "ah, this is why Newt always looks so pained when he tries to cross the line in the middle of the lab. He has to be invited in, and I cut him off from half of the lab."
It is only Hermann's second thought, less measured, less scientific, that says: a monster.
But Hermann knows a thing about monsters. He has faced them for the past near-decade. He has helped create them.
And if there is one thing in this world that Hermann Gottlieb will refuse to let happen, it is to let Newton Geiszler die.

Summary
"What are you doing Reid?" The question came from across the table where Geoffrey was perched. The sun had just gone down and Jonathan was taking a moment to read this morning's newspaper while Geoffrey prepared for his night shift. The coffee pot in their shared kitchen rumbled and choked out puffs of steam as it streamed the bitter earthy brew into the awaiting mug beneath the dispenser.
He was just sitting down with a light sandwich for the early "morning" that had become their evening routine. Jonathan turned the page of the paper over and hummed thoughtfully.
"Reading." He answered simply, his prim and proper words stifled by the object held firmly between his teeth. The subtle chirp and squeak made the Irishman stare even more. "The price of gas went up again, Geoffrey. You should fuel up this evening before it jumps again."
"That's not what I mean." Geoffrey sighed and wiped his hands clean on a napkin. "I meant what are ya doing with that thing in yer mouth?" He pointed towards the doctor's face where the toy was lodged between his right incisors.
"It's my stress toy." Jonathan explained simply.
