Kakashi-sensei had given them a week off after Wave and then promptly fucked off to kami-sama knows where, her taijutsu was abysmal, her chakra reserves were too small for most jutsus beyond the Academy Three which was basically every jutsu in existence, and she didn’t have any kind of support system that could help her in any meaningful way. She spent an entire day scouring the library for any kind of tool or trick or skill that would be accessible to a genin who knew fuck all about being a ninja that would also positively impact her chances of survival starting immediately. Unsurprisingly, there was almost nothing. Surprisingly, she did find one potential lead.
