Never taking her hand off his jaw — never letting him think for a moment that he was to move his head on his own — Elphaba spun the pencil between her fingers, a process Fiyero watched as though under a spell (after all, with her, when was he not?) — until she held it longways and brought it closer.
Fiyero followed her hand with his eyes, pulling his gaze further and further down, until he couldn't see it anymore.
But one sense replaced another, and when he stopped seeing, he began to feel; the moment he couldn't see the pencil anymore, he felt its pressure weigh down on his tongue, lodging between the grooves in his teeth like… a bit. A horse's bit.
Elphaba's hand on his jaw began to move again; now, she brought it up, slowly drawing his mouth shut (as much as it could be, anyway).
"Stay still and hold it for me. Just until I'm ready."
