Remus Lupin is tired.
Not normal tired. Not “oops, I stayed up too late watching crime documentaries and now my body is fundamentally broken” tired. No, he’s existentially exhausted—the kind of tired that settles into his bones and makes itself at home. The kind of tired that comes from juggling a full-time job, a dissertation he absolutely should have finished last month, and—unbeknownst to either of them—two separate, equally chaotic romantic entanglements.To be clear: this was not the plan.
Remus was supposed to be a normal, well-adjusted person with one emotionally confusing entanglement at a time.

Summary
James smiles lazily in Barty’s arms, trying to hold back a laugh as he watches Marlene wobble on the table in the center of the common room. Dorcas is screeching at her while Mary spurs her further on in trying to backflip off of it.
The room is hot and the air is sticky despite them leaving windows open. They’ve played plenty of drinking games and had loud conversations, but as the night went on nearly everyone else had returned to their dorms. Though as usual, James and the rest of them found themselves still enjoying the now mellowed party.
“I love you,” James tilts his head back to look at Barty with a soft smile. He’s still smiling when Barty leans forward to kiss his lips softly and nearly melts when he whispers, “I love you too, baby.”

( James pulled the curtain aside to find Barty in front of the window with a smile on his face but red puffy eyes. James quickly opened his window to let Barty in. Barty threw in a bag first before climbing through the window.
‘’Good evening.’’ Barty smiled, looking around the room. ‘’Reggie! What are you doing here?’’
‘’I escaped home. What are you doing here?’’ Regulus asked with a confused frown. )
