Prowl could have also been having a much better day. (43.8%.)Overall, his day was approaching ‘not great.’
You could make a case for said ‘not great’-ness starting when he first accidentally warped into an experimental Quintesson weapons base with violently angry little foot soldiers that seemed to have a love for biting at anything they could reach, but Prowl really considered it starting when the unfamiliar mech limped at unsafe speeds into the desecrated room with him.

What were you THINKING,” Red Alert yells, sitting back up so hard the entire table jostles again. Prowl, sitting next to him, makes a noise maybe indicating disappointment or annoyance, but whether that’s at the fact that he has to lean down to get the paper he was filling out or at Bumblebee’s stupidity is anyone’s guess.
Bee seems to shrink into himself further as he says “...That the new guy had a cool mech and seemed really lost...?”

Alternate universe evil!Batman tries to blackmail his counterpart with evidence of his own crimes against children. He gets curbstomped for his trouble, and his living victims are rescued. But what are the rescuers to do with his accomplice, who aided him in killing and torturing people since he was old enough to hold a knife?
For Damian's part, he doesn't realize his father's victims have been rescued. From his perspective, they've just changed hands.

Prowl shifts slightly; adjusting his stance. The Terrorcon in front of him... is the most refined Terrorcon he's ever seen. Like the corpse used had been perfectly preserved- or restored. It’s faceplate is smoother than any Cybertronian’s. No rust. Clean, mostly, paint. It’s paint is colorful. Like it’s still alive, and if Prowl didn't know better, he'd say the Terrorcon would still have a functional alt-mode.
What was a Terrorcon this advanced doing in a Quintesson outpost this remote? Was this a Decepticon experiment captured by Quintessons [13.7%] or a purely Quintesson creation [46.1%]? Where had Quintessons aquired the dark energon-
The Terrorcon shifts to attack [91.3%]. Prowl raises his blaster. There’s only one, he can handle a single Terrorcon. No Terrorcon could be as sophisticated as a living Cybertronian.

Summary
One-oh-six-one was an anomaly.
Well, perhaps that was inaccurate.
They could very well be a perfectly average member of their own species.
But no mecha Prowl knew of could punch a Quintesson in the face, snag their servo in its jaws, rip off their own servo to escape, kill that same Quintesson with extreme prejudice, and then scoop their missing piece from its mouth; not without expressing any form of pain at all.
