Damian had drawn himself in every scene imaginable: seated at the dining room table with his chin resting against his fist in concentration, glancing over one shoulder mid-conversation, kneeling beside a dismantled weapon, standing in the rain outside the cave entrance while water drips from his hair in dark rivulets, and him halfway through training, sweat sticking to his forehead while his fist collides with a practice dummy.
Okay. Alright. Technically, there wasn’t anything wrong here. So Tim could just call Damian a bit overly fixated and call it a day. Forget about all of this and just leave.
Tim was about to close the damn notebook when his eyes caught red on the next page.

Summary
You didn’t expect me to be someone you cared about. Damian finishes the thought for him, teeth gritting behind his closed lips. His skin is prickling with the pressure of being seen, recognized. It’s not what he wanted. It’s not what he asked for. And yet—when Grayson’s hand brushes his elbow again, steadying him gently as they walk down the fire escape, Damian doesn’t pull away. His instincts are screaming at him to shake the touch off. That’s just sympathy. Just pity.
It doesn’t mean anything.
He is just a civilian, Damian reminds himself harshly, over and over like a mantra. He does not matter. His affection does not matter. But the words lose their sharpness the longer Grayson looks at him like that—like Damian is someone, not something broken or dangerous. Not just another shadow in the night.

Summary
Dick Grayson becomes an older brother, quite suddenly, just over three months after his fifteenth birthday.
The sleeping toddler in his father’s arms looks generally unaware of his whereabouts and the changes in surroundings as he curls in on himself, looking cold in the thin, muted green onesie that’s a bit too big for him. Bruce, still in his Batman suit bar the cowl, looks more shocked (and grief stricken, if Dick’s properly learnt his father’s minuscule expressions and what they mean) rather than looking fond or happy. He’s sitting in the pivot chair he usually uses when he’s on the batcomputer, but he’s facing away from the monitors and looking at Dick now, sitting on a spare chair in front of him.
“A… brother,” Dick repeats, carefully. “A baby brother.”
or
Talia gives Damian to Bruce when he's one and a half years old. This one decision leads to a series of fortunate events that speeds up the so-called 'accidental' acquisition of the rest of Dick Grayson's siblings. Mostly, though, it just makes Damian and Dick (as well as the others) closer.
Well.
At least Dick has his bigger family sooner.
