Summary
For 23 weeks of the year, Kim Burgess is on tv. A camera inevitably ends up focusing on her in the garage, watching as she gives instructions and strategy advice down the radio to her driver.
But this year things are different. For the first time in two years she’s not talking to Adam every race, not giving him in jokes and trying not to flirt with her boyfriend. Because Adam’s been signed to VR, arguably the best team in Formula One, and Kim’s in a battle with one of her best friends to stay as Adam’s race engineer.
While trying to keep her relationship ship private, Kim realises that something will have to give in her life. If she publicly loves Adam her career will suffer. But putting her career first means that she’ll lose the love of her life. While travelling around the world she wrestleswith her decision until she’s forced to make one, come what may.

Summary
She heads inside with plans to march straight past Casey’s office and pretend she doesn’t see him there. But as luck would have it, she doesn’t get that far. As soon as she steps inside she’s met with Matt’s anxious and worried expression. She wants to talk. To tell him some bit of news — or even just say hello.
The anxiety on his face causes her to lock up. He’s looking to her for answers. The ball’s in her court and it’s unsettling. When has the ball ever been her court? When has anyone ever given her the power to decide what does or doesn’t change in a romantic relationship? Rarely ever, if at all. She feels the pressure for the right words at the right moment and suddenly her entire vocabulary vanishes completely.
Just as she thinks she may have found something to say, the bells go off and, of course, they’re for 61.
