“Well, I still wanna know! You’ve had every girl in the book confess to you and you’re gonna sit here and tell me you haven’t even thought about bringing one of em’ to your room?”
“Not in that way. They’re my friends.”
“Really? You’re telling me that I’m the same to you as each one of those girls?” It sounds different than he meant it to come out, but he’s too tipsy to have the common sense to bite his tongue, like he typically does.
There’s a pause before Yu answers, longer than usual, like he was really conflicted in how he should respond. Just another rare sight to see tonight.
“No,” he says concretely, taking a long gulp of his drink, finishing it off. “You’re not the same.”Or,
After Nanako is rescued from the T.V. world and in the hospital, Yosuke decides to try and cheer up his best friend in the world, Yu Narukami, with a cheap case of beer. However, Yosuke fails to consider the inhibiting effects that alcohol has on a person and causes something to bubble up he'd rather never confront.

“Are we- Are we doing enough? It has been so long but you are still afraid of me if I whisper something to you too faintly-”
“I’m not afraid of you-” D3rlord wanted to interrupt, because in no way would he be scared of one so close to him. However, Avery cut him off before he could explain himself.
“-then what are you still afraid of?” His partner asked with quiet, relentless desperation.
D3rlord could only stay silent.
AKA
D3rlord trying and miserably failing at dealing with his trauma, meanwhile Avery does his best to provide support and fend off problems of his own.

Summary
Mob has been alone for too long... well, not literally. Verity is always there: watching, helping, answering, smiling from the foot of his bed. But after months of isolation, nightmares, and no one human left to touch— Mob is starting to feel like his own body is turning against him.
Then one night, after a nightmare, he wakes up to a hand on his shoulder.
It is not the yellow ball.
It is Verity.
Human-shaped, smiling, and waiting for Mob to ask properly.
or: Verity reveals his third form, Mob is the first to survive long enough to see it; and touch-starvation makes consent complicated, humiliating... and very, very dangerous.
