Summary
I beg of you to understand me, Father. Please forgive me my moments of doubt. I will never truly forget what I am, why I am here, the things I am meant for. Yet can one truly appreciate the glory of annihilation if they do not also feel love for the beauty of life?
At Enver Gortash's urging, Ophelia, The Dark Urge, has reclaimed her name when with him alone, or working with his people. Nearly a year after the end of the events in Personify Me, her affections for him intensify as well as her platonic adoration for his closest followers, and with all of it, more love of life as a whole and also doubts of her own faith and purposes. Meanwhile, Orin keeps pressuring her to remember her true purpose, as well as her duty to make more spawn with her kin.
And all the while, Enver Gortash is more than happy to keep encouraging Ophelia's doubts with the hope that she will break free of Bhaal and be free to be fully by his side. And voice their feelings for each other.
But we all know how this story is likely to end...
The continuation of my main Haunted One Series. Reading Haunted One - Personify Me first is not completely necessary but recommended.
