Summary

Wei Wuxian creates an array to activate his own connection while fate topples everything around him.(Runs through all the same plot points as canon, with small moments that would change bc of the existence of the soulmates thing. It's a mix-up of CQL and the novel, sorry!)

Summary
It’s the middle of the Sunshot campaign, and Nie Huaisang finds a flyer to a Qishan civilian play about a certain demonic cultivator and his cohorts... Wei WuXian, Lan WangJi, Jiang Cheng, Jin ZiXuan and Nie Huaisang end up stealing into the theater for fun- ah-- intel by sitting down to experience it themselves. The playwright either exercised their creative liberties or was misinformed, but the play is going different kinds of wrong... including implications of a cut-sleeve "based on real life" story!
(Will spoil canon from flashbacks/backstory in MDZS which is to say. You should read it first!)
