Summary
The headstone was small. It was the first thing Miles had noticed. The second thing he noticed was how indistinct it was. It was indistinguishable from the stones that surrounded it. Impersonal and characterless, it communicated nothing about the man that had been laid to rest below. No family tomb, an empty memorial vase, and lichen that had crept into the carved inscription. ‘A great man’, the words declared, but it seemed not a single person cared to remember him. A man so great that his stone rose no higher than Miles’ knees.
Miles Edgeworth, following the advice of his therapist, goes on a Father's day visit to the graveyard. He begins to work through his emotions, and has a very one sided conversation.
