Summary
“Hey, I thought I heard you,” Buck says softly as he steps into Eddie’s room.
“Mmmf,” Eddie grumbles.
“You need more rest, Eds,” Buck tells him gently.
“Thirsty,” Eddie whines.
“I got you Gatorade,” Buck tells him as he hands it over. Eddie smiles softly.
“Course you did,” Eddie huffs. “You take such good care of me.” Eddie swipes the drink and immediately downs half of it before smacking his lips and moving to get comfy again, remaining clueless to his best friend's inner spiral. -

Summary
"I didn’t catch that, bud. Speak up,” Hen tells him. Buck sighs before tipping back to look up at the ceiling.
“I had a sex dream about Eddie,” Buck reluctantly confesses. Hen almost groans in irritation, but she holds it in.
“That’s it!?” she huffs. “I thought it was something serious!”
“HOW IS THIS NOT SERIOUS?” Buck throws his hands up. “I can’t just dream about my best friend blowing my back out, Hen!”
Buck and Hen both freeze as a squeak comes from behind them. Buck looks at Hen, terrified as she glances behind them and then back at Buck. -

Summary
Eddie's gaze landed on Buck.
"Oh no," Eddie breathed beside him, so quiet Buck almost didn't hear it.
Video-Buck was sitting on a couch, drink in hand, grinning up at Eddie with that stupid, fond expression Buck knew he got when he looked at Eddie but usually managed to hide better. Video-Eddie walked over, and the crowd went wild.
"This is—we should turn this off," Eddie said, but neither of them moved.
Video-Eddie started dancing, and at first it was silly, exaggerated, both of them laughing. Buck remembered this part, sort of—the dare, Eddie being ridiculous, everyone cheering. But then video-Eddie straddled Buck's lap, and everything changed.
Buck watched his own hands come up to grip Eddie's hips, watched the way Eddie's expression shifted from playful to something intense, something hungry. They were staring at each other, and even through the grainy video, Buck could see it—the want, the need, the thing they never talked about made visible."Kiss him!" someone shouted in the video. "Kiss the sexiest man in the room!"
And they did.Or video evidence of that bachelor party emerges leaving buddie in complete chaos

Summary
“Did I not make it clear to you, almost nine years ago, that your sister is mine now?”
“She’s not an object.” Buck argued, jumping when Doug slapped his hand on the wall by his face. “Sh- she’s not a po- possession.”
“She’s mine.” Doug growled. “You clearly need a reminder.”
“Ho- how did you f- find me?” Buck asked, swallowing thickly.
“It’s almost cute that neither you or Maddie thought I would have a tracker in her car.” Doug grinned wickedly. “I gave her a reminder about why she shouldn’t cross me. Now I’m here to give you one.”
“Wh-” Buck grunted from the fist that was punched into his stomach, dropping him to his knees.

Summary
“C'mere," Buck says, sitting up to scoot closer to Eddie.
"What are you doing?” Eddie asks, and Buck sighs.
"You can just kiss me, get a taste of the lip balm, and tell me what flavour you think it is.”
Eddie can’t believe his ears.
"That is such a stupid way to win a bet, Buck."
“Oh so you concede?"
Eddie rolls his eyes, shaking his head before planting both hands on the sides of Buck's face and hauling him in to press their lips together.
OR
Buck and Eddie make a bet on whether or not Eddie can guess all of Buck's lip balm flavours, and in order for Eddie to get a taste, they have to kiss.

Summary
Despite his attempts, Chimney's speech although rousing, failed. Buck transferred out of the 118. Eddie returned to El Paso with Chris.
It's been six years, and Eddie is back in L.A. Chris is gone, college bound and Eddie finds himself back in a place he had long forgotten to call home. Time had drifted them, meet ups became video calls, video calls became texts, then texts turned into a couple of birthday and Christmas wishes between most of them.
Buck and Eddie's friendship stilted after Bobby's death and Eddie's return to El Paso. Two different lives. Neither are sure what or who was to blame. Eddie still can't help but feel regret though, especially now he's been out and somewhat proud the past few years. But what happens when he catches up to Buck and sees where his own life took him?

Summary
“Buck, please,” Eddie sobs. “I can’t watch you go, too.”
Buck’s eyes snap back open, and for one miraculous second, Eddie thinks he’ll be able to stay conscious. He can see the implication dawn in Buck’s eyes—even in the dark, even with the space between them, even with the threat of death knocking, ready to swipe them both.
Buck coughs and heaves, trying to catch his breath.
“No, Evan, please.” Eddie chokes on his own tears. “Hang on.”
—
Buck and Eddie have confronted death before, each of them learning what it might be like without the other. They’ve avoided talking about it for fear of exposing what it’s revealed within themselves. But then they’re trapped together, with no way out, except a choice and a sacrifice to be made.
