Al was always the one to think ahead, to keep me from being to rash. I was the one to jump into a fight without a plan, the one to get hurt because of it. Maybe this is why I didn’t look at the floor I was sprinting across. Maybe this is why I was too late to realize Robinson put his hands on the floor and the giant alchemical circle beneath me began to glow. Maybe this is why I was to late to escape the surge of energy that went through me and made everything go white.

Ed tried to live a normal life, he really did, but sitting still while a rogue alchemist was out there didn't sit well with him. He should of stayed home like Al said he should. Magic was really really weird.
