Summary
Personally, Akira thinks that it caught Goro by surprise to see just how eagerly Akira’s body responds to his touch. Some part of him wonders if he’ll ever accept it for what it is, this naked, unguarded devotion his heart holds for the former Detective Prince. It’s like every time they meet like this, Goro expects it to be the last time, like he suspects that Akira will grow tired of him, of them, and will finally snap, exposing all the withheld hatred that’s been bubbling beneath the surface.
The truth is: he could never hate Goro. That’s the ugliest truth of them all, one that Goro himself doesn’t seem to have figured out yet.
He smiles—a small, private smile—when Goro finally grows frustrated with the clothes between them and gets to work. He lets out a small growl, one that nearly has Akira mewl in response, and reaches for his clothes with viciousness that has him thinking that he would rip them off of him if only he could.

When he opens the door, he is greeted by the familiar pair of dark mauve eyes and broad shoulders, a long coat dotted with hundreds of stars draped over them.
It’s like looking into the mirror.
But then his reflection grins back at him, all sharp eyes and bared teeth, and he feels a shudder run down the length of his spine and a cold, sinking sensation at the pit of his stomach.
Instinctively, he takes a step back.

Summary
Viktor blinks blearily at the ceiling, the abruptness with which he woke up leaving him disoriented and confused as his eyes slowly adjust to the darkness of the small room he shares with Jayce. It’s still not morning yet, he can tell that much. Judging by the darkness and the silver-blue streaks of moonlight sneaking through the thin curtains and painting long shadows across the floor and walls, it couldn't be more than a few hours since he first fell asleep. He has no reason to be up for at least another five hours, maybe more if he and Jayce are lucky.
Next to him, there’s quiet rustling of the sheets followed by a small sound of distress that instantly snaps him awake, the oh-so-familiar feeling of dread spilling through his chest. Viktor pulls himself upright, leaning against the wall behind the bed and cursing under his breath.
They are both well-acquainted with nightmares, him and Jayce.

After the battle, it's time for Viktor to face his mistakes. It's a good thing that no matter what happenes next, Jayce is sure to stay by his side.

“Ouma?”
There’s shuffling somewhere nearby, the mattress dipping under the new weight. Kokichi’s eyes snap open, alert and wide awake, and he blinks a few times trying to adjust to the darkness.
“Momota-chan really can’t live without me, huh?” he teases, but his voice feels strangely flat in this big, obnoxiously white room. He shifts a little, rolling onto his back to see Kaito better.
Not for the first time since leaving the game, he notes just how deflated Kaito looks, a mere shadow of the person he was back in the simulation. His hair lies flat against his face without copious amounts of gel and his eyes lack their usual spark as he leans closer, invading Kokichi’s personal space.
“Apparently I can’t,” Kaito says quietly and Kokichi closes his eyes and chuckles like it’s some kind of inside joke only the two of them are privy to.

“I’m sure Team Danganronpa is so deeply concerned about our well being,” he says, words practically dripping with sarcasm so thick it makes his voice sound weird even in his own ears. “Surely this is what they’ve been concerned about the most when they put us in a killing game.”
Her smile is unwavering as she looks him up and down, “Saihara-san,” she says, as polite as ever, “I assure you that even though you may not remember it now you’ve been made aware of the consequences of participating in the killing game and being put in the simulation before signing the contract. If you wish to take a look at your signature it can be arranged shortly.”
His lips pull in a pale, thin line.
“That won’t be necessary.”

She groans and pushes aside the stack of papers she was focused on. “If you would join the council again, Mr. Talis, maybe you could take some of this paperwork off of my hands.”
He laughs and shakes his head, holding his hands up in surrender. “No, we saw how that went last time. I’d rather spend my time in the academy labs, thanks. Besides, I haven’t been very popular with the council or with the citizens since I came out in support of, you know, not having Viktor thrown into Stillwater or executed.”

Anytime Kaito hears Kokichi laugh genuinely, or looks at him a little too closely for a little too long- that's the something. The warmth, the fullness, the fluttering– that's what happens to Kaito every single time, even when they argue or shout at each other. The one-hundred percent. The feeling he can neither shake nor identify.
Then, one day, Kokichi playfully blows him a kiss when they make eye-contact during an exam, and Kaito very abruptly identifies the feeling.
“Holy shit,” he mutters, and prays to be able to finish his test.
Kaito drops some hints. Kokichi is weirdly terrible at reading them.

“Sheesh, as I was saying!” Monokuma flails his arms. “Momota-kun and Shirogane-san seem to have come down with an oldie but a goodie—the despair disease!”
Monokuma’s announcement is regarded with empty stares from the whole group, aside from Tsumugi, who pushes on Gonta’s glasses and lets out a giggle, mumbling something about how he must be honoured to get to hold her. Gonta agrees thoughtlessly, nodding his head a little, but his gaze is still solely on the robot bear.
The silence is, as it so often is, broken by Kokichi. “Ooh, the despair disease!” He bounces forward with starry eyes, a broad smile on his face. “How exciting! Hey, Monokuma, do you wanna explain what that is to these peons, or should I?”
“You really know how to take the drama outta an announcement,” Monokuma grumbles.

After the second trial, Monokuma re-introduces a familiar motive for the third chapter: The Despair Disease.
Naturally, the consequences from this are immediate, and great.
