Summary
An upset candle, left unattended by a bribed servant late at night. That is the addendum The Forum added. The family would have already retired after the celebration, the other servants asleep in their quarters. Nobody would see the flame grow or know its carnage until death pounded at their doors.
Why this lethal act for such an innocent commissioner? The reason is simple - the young lady's family had been confirmed by the confidant to be part of the Painters' Council.
It would be simple enough to be passed off as an accident, if necessary, and so small a change that an impossible narrative would pose no true risk to poison the young lady's mind. My version of the Story was given to her uncredited, and the addendum was locked away in The Forum's library. They intended to take ownership of the fire if any in the family died as a result, to send a message to others on the Painters' Council of the power a Writer can wield.
A declaration of war.

Summary
Having to spend the night at the Manor has Verso climbing up the walls.
You decide a little hand-to-hand combat practice might provide the distraction he desperately needs.
Unfortunately, Verso is a terrible tease. What's more, he seems entirely too pleased when you decide to take his wandering hands out of the equation.
It's time to make your beloved bastard beg for mercy.Series

Summary
"A search and rescue mission was finally proposed in a town hall meeting one night in the central plaza. Julie had watched as a father, with his son and daughter meekly trailing behind, made a plea to cobble together a few people to try and look for any other survivors beyond the shores of their new island. He had been one of those whose residence had been torn away on another piece of Lumière. He was a simple painter by trade, but was willing to take up any job if it meant finding his wife and eldest daughter again, who had been separated from the rest of the family. That desperation was so achingly known to the point that words needed not be spoken between the people in attendance to reach a unanimous agreement. It was natural, then, that the man - Renoir - was appointed the leader of the mission. Those who weren’t already neck-deep in rebuilding the city were eager to join, with Julie included. She didn’t think she’d be able to take another day of living in the midst of such a stark reminder of the way of life she had lost."

Summary
He seems comfortable enough sitting with his thoughts that he's not using the wine to get out of his own head, at the very least. Maybe he's just lonely. Verso does like talking, and entertains himself by climbing into her head when she's free enough to make merry. Julie is… strangely unbothered by that part of their routine.
The part that does bother her is the meta aspect: the routine itself.
Verso is there every night.

This will encompass the story of 'Those Who Came Before,' the outtakes that didn't make the cut + all the scenes that would go a step beyond the M rating on the main work, and some closure after the main story wraps up.

Summary
Silver hair shifts against his shoulders as he adjusts his apron. Your eyes follow the movement, transfixed as thick fingers tighten the rouge knot. He hums a light tune. Like he isn’t butt-ass naked in his kitchen at the crack of dawn, baking. Like he hadn’t just given you the best fuck of your life last night.
Verso moves. The apron shifts. A delicious strip of skin makes itself known between the front of his stomach and the fabric.Perfectly hand-warmer shaped. For one lucky person…
You've woken up from a night of passion with the extremely attractive, decade-older-than-you baker from your local cafe.
It is the crack of dawn. And he is making you croissants, dressed in nothing but an apron.

Summary
“He was just as stupid. And just as blind.” Alicia's tongue flicked out to wet her lips. “Neither of you stopped to think about what I’d want—or that we’d have to go on without you. You’re selfish, Verso. And you—"
“—would make the same choice. In every life. In any life.” He smiled. She didn’t return it. “I won’t say I’m sorry.”
Alicia looked away. “You should have lived.”
“I decided otherwise."
(Or: Verso Dessendre's ghost visits every member of his family a final time.)
