Steve blinked past them, and there, in the narrow gap between their shoulders, he saw him.
Medium build, probably Steve’s age, maybe a little older. Dark brown hair stuck up from sweat, face smudged with dirt, clothes a little too big and a little too torn at the sleeves. But he didn’t hesitate. There was something sharp in his eyes, not just anger, but purpose.

"You're too sweet... Good thing I have a sweet tooth," Tony replied, making Stephen chuckle against his back.
"Quiet time," Stephen mumbled, shaking his head and burying his nose in Tony's hair as the other smiled in bliss.
"Mmkay," he mumbled back, settling into the water and fully letting his mind go blank.

The Blood God raised his netherite blade, pointing the tip straight at Philza’s heart.
